The Acorns successfully defended no less than 10 short corners when they took on Old Bordenians this Saturday, but the star of the show was 13 year old man of the match Ben Baillache making his debut for the Acorns. Pictured below clearly showing size doesn't matter!

March 2015
It was a fitting tribute that as Captain Ali Hays five year tenure as the Acorns development squad Player/Manager came to an end that the team played some of their best hockey this season to defeat Old Bordenians 9-0.
It has been an outstanding season for the club and perhaps another fitting tribute to Ali Hay and his fellow mentors is that as both the Mens 1st XI and 2nd XI take promotion, no less than eight players that started in the development squad under their reign were part of those squads.
Captain Ali Hay on behalf of every single player, parent and fellow mentor who have had the privilege to play during your reign ‘We salute you !’.acorns 2015 web
